This was my first time walking along Atlanta’s BeltLine. My photographer, Allison, and I checked out so many interesting spots and pieces of art on the trail. But with a lot of exploring comes a lot of walking and a lot of walking requires sneakers. I walked about 4 miles in patent leather strappy spike heels. Let me just say that the blisters and blood on my feet were SO real. I am typically a very good planner, but I royally f’ed this one up.
I am ALL about a classic collared button-down paired with some boyfriend jeans and a simple heel. The slouched jean contrasts well with the blouse – the top transforms from “9-5” to a more day-time casual look. The heels sex it up a bit while still keeping it classic.
For day-time, you could swap out the heels for a classic sneaker (i.e. Adidas’s Superstar) or a pointed-toe flat to keep the legs elongated. For evening, I would throw on the heels, un-do one more button on the blouse, and add a statement clutch.
What are some of your favorite places to eat, shop, see along the BeltLine? I fully intend to come back with the correct footwear next time 🙂
