What better way to ring in the new year than with some of my current favorite beauty products?! It’s time to clean out the old and re-stock with some new-new. It’s been awhile since I shared some of my favorites and I just had to tell you guys what I’m using and loving so far! Most of the these products are pretty affordable because helloooooo I am in my twenties and am not made of money.
Here are some of my current beauty favorites right now!
Not Your Mother’s Plump For Joy Thickening Shampoo, Target $4.84
I have a pretty sensitive scalp, so it’s hard for me to find products that don’t give me dandruff or break me out. I started using this shampoo a few months ago and have LOVED it. It really does add a lot of volume. It’s formulated without and dyes, sulfates, or parabens which is also v clutch. Plus can we talk about how affordable this is though??
Sephora Smoothing & Brightening Concealer in shade Clair Light, Sephora $14
I bought this about 2 months ago and I have no qualms. For my light olive skin tone, it’s the perfect amount of brightness for under-eyes. I hate when girls conceal their under-eyes with a shade that is WAY too light to the point where they are glow-in-the-dark in pictures. It blends really nicely with my Make Up For Ever foundation with no creasing at the end of the day.
Ouai Wave Spray, Sephora $26
It’s pronounced like “way” and it is also the shit. I bought this NYE day and I am FREAKING OBSESSED. A lot of wave sprays make your hair super crunchy and dry. Not Ouai. It smells so good and adds the perfect amount of texture to your hair while making to shiny too. This is a little on the pricier end, but you get a good amount of product for the price. Totally worth the money in my book. Throw on a slip dress and get ready to turn heads.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, Target $24
I can’t stress how important it is to keep your skin hydrated. This is the perfect overnight mask after a night of binge drinking or when your skin is just feeling blah. Throw it on before bed and wake up with glowing, plump skin. Your makeup will go on so easy too.
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil, The Body Shop $13.20
You guys know I love body oils (especially this one), so I had to check out this shimmery oil. The shimmer is super subtle so trust me when I say you won’t look insane like Edward Cullen. I like the hint of color it adds to the skin too. It’s the perfect amount of warmth. In the winter time, this is subtle summer glow that you need if you’re wearing a leather mini or showing off your decolletage.
COCO MADEMOISELLE Eau De Parfum, CHANEL $72 for 1.02 oz.
Well guys, I think I may have found my signature scent. And what’s more classic than CHANEL? No. 5 is a little too mature for me right now, but this one is perfect. There’s a maturity to it, but it’s still young and fresh. It’s extremely sexy and feminine, but not overpowering. The bottle is also stunning. Maybe I’ll be able buy a bottle with some birthday money?? Like I’ve said in my other perfume posts, Sephora will literally give you samples of anything so go in and ask for a sample of this. You won’t regret it.
Have you guys tried any of these products before? What are the current favs you’re using? Let me know in the comments below so I can try too!
