The perfect red lip is a TASK to master, am I right? God forbid you smudge outside your lip line in the slightest. And the reapplication process throughout the day and/or night, especially when you’re out on the town? Total nightmare. If you’re lips are even just a tad bit flaky…a real travesty. Honestly, could the struggle be MORE real? Even though I can be bougie as times (can’t we all?), a standard red lip tends to be too high maintenance for me on a regular basis.
Enter the EASIEST red lip for the inner minimalist in all of us – the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in “Romantic.” I never thought I would find a love like this LOL. Since I bought this back in early February I have worn it EVERY day, and that is not an exaggeration.
The moisture power and pigment it packs in one tube is incredible. That has always been my biggest struggle with finding a good lip. I’m sure you can agree. And for $6.89 at Target? In my eyes that’s basically free.
I also love how easy it is to apply. It just glides on and is so easy to blend. You don’t have to worry about coloring within the lines perfectly, catch my drift? Since it’s considered a balm, it’s easy to play with. The more layers you put on, the higher pigmentation you get. PLUS my favorite part – as it wears throughout the day it never sinks in and/or highlights the creases in your lips. It seriously leaves you with the perfect kissable stain. Super natural looking. I mean who wants to look like they’re trying really hard?
During the week for work, I just swipe on a bit and I’m good to go for a few hours. On the weekends, I’ll tend to layer on more because…well it’s the weekend and you have to do the most, yes? This balm stain plus a little cat-eye liner – let me TELL you. So. chic.
Because it’s a very natural red, you can really pair it with anything. Like I said, I’ve been wearing this everyday for a solid two months and have been getting so many compliments on it. I’ve been stuck on Romantic for awhile now, but with summer ahead I’m excited to test out some of the brighter shades too.
Revlon is accessible at virtually any drugstore, Walmart, Target, you name it. So when I say go pick up a Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain, I mean like literally go sprint there.
