Halloween may very well be my favorite holiday. It’s kind of exhilarating to own a new identity for a night, right? I have an ongoing list in my phone of Halloween costume ideas…no seriously, I do. I am especially excited this year because Halloween is on a Monday which means parties all weekend. Make sure you guys stay tuned on my Instagram, @rebeccarollolazo, because I have some good costumes up my sleeve this year. Or at least I would like to think so.
A good costume means going all out from head to toe. And truly I think makeup plays a big role. You can wear an amazing costume, but if the makeup doesn’t make sense with the costume then it’s kind of a bust. Just like how wearing a black hair elastic around your wrist as a bracelet will completely ruin an outfit. Sorry, not sorry.
I feel like lots of costumes tend to lean on the sexier side, which means a smokey eye is v appropriate in those situations. Plus it’s Halloween and everyone’s dark side starts to come out…very #badontheweekend, don’t you think?
Here is some smokey eye inspiration for the Halloween weekend ahead! Start screenshotting…you’ll thank yourself later.
If you’re dressing as Batgirl, I think it would be a crime NOT to do this eye look.
Such a sexy, but angelic look. This coppery-color is especially amazing on blue eyes. This is giving me Elsa vibes.
This vampy look is actually giving me life. Super versatile on a variety of costumes.
As an past dancer, I 100% approve this look if you are going for a ballerina look…think Black Swan.
But with this braid…how enchanting is this rosey eye and highlight?
A lighter smokey eye, but the lip just ties it all together. Another great versatile look. And I mean Shay Mitchell…in the words of a basic bitch, “I can’t even.” #goals
I am LOVING this smokey winged eye. A unique take on the typical cat-eye.
Total smokeshow. How dope is this liner?
This. metallic. purple. As shocking of a color that this is, this could be used with so many different costumes. Superhero, a Pokemon, Zenon or an alien, the list goes on.
The neck tie that she has on immediately gave Jack Sparrow vibes. If you’re being a pirate, this copper and black smokey eye is necessary.
A very chic take on blue eye shadow. VS Angel feels anyone?
You guys HAVE to tell me what you are dressing up as for Halloween. Comment below to share! Seriously, I need to start adding more ideas to my list!
