If you would have asked me a year ago if I’d ever write about healing crystals, I would probably most literally LOL. Fast-forward to now…I’ve had a bunch of big changes in my life. For one, I turned 25 at the beginning of this year so maybe I’m just going through a quarter-life crisis. But since I was a little kid, I’ve always had a secret fascination with crystals. I had a rock-tumbler at the age of 5 and it was definitely my favorite “toy” – HA! Here’s why healing crystals have become more relevant in my life again…
Preface: Camille Rowe is a French-American model that I ADORE. Over the past year, she’s been filming a mini series with British Vogue called “What on Earth is Wellness?”. She met with a number of different experts and doctors to get down to the root of what wellness is, why people are so obsessed with wellness, and how to achieve personal wellness. So dope, right??
While Camille met with several scientists and doctors, she also researched more spiritual paths as well – enter crystals. Like I said before, I’ve always been drawn to crystals because of their beauty and uniqueness. In this episode of “What on Earth is Wellness?” Camille meets with Mark Phillips and Martin Anguiano, owners/founders of Spellbound Sky in California.
The most interesting thing I took away was that Mark and Martin tell their clients NOT to research what any crystals mean. Each different color of crystal radiates a different energy and intention, so whatever crystals you are naturally drawn to is the energy you are probably needing. Now, is it a placebo effect? Maybe. The crystal really represents an intention, and if you’re constantly reminded of that intention it can help you practice incorporating that energy into your everyday life. Et voila! Plus, they are gorgeous and can act as great decor pieces in your home!
I went on a little adventure yesterday to the Phoenix and Dragon Bookstore with my good friend Amber, and we had a BALL going crystal shopping. Now let’s get to the goods – I’m going to give you a mini breakdown on the crystals I selected and what each of them represents. Amber and I tried the Mark and Martin method – we selected a bunch that we were naturally attracted to and then researched what they actually meant. We got some gorg stones, let me tell you!
Here’s a mini lesson in crystals for you babes. Hope you enjoy!
The light pink stone. Known to attract love. It’s used to lower emotional stress and rid the heart of resentment and jealousy.
The green stone. Naturally a calming stone. Aids in spiritual and emotional growth. If you have difficulty expressing your emotions, this stone can help provide the ability to do so.
The royal blue & white stone. Thought of as a royal stone. A great stone for meditation that helps provide mental clarity and organization.
The black-spotted stone. Strengthens relationships and bonds among family, friends, and co-workers. Provides a playful energy.
The square stone. Encourages personal wealth, confidence, and persistence. Helps revive one with mental fatigue.
The black & pink stone. An emotional healer through difficult times. Used to nurture your inner-self. Brings positivity and light.
These are just a few of the many crystals that I was drawn to. If I could I would fill my whole house with them because they’re SO beautiful.
Let me know what you guys think about this post – a little different than usual, but I think wellness is such a great topic to dive into! Leave your comments below!
